About

I’m spending this fall in Bussy-la-Pesle, a town of about about 70 people twenty minutes west of Dijon in Burgundy, France. I’ll live with family friends in the chateau they are renovating, and I’ll be joining their work crew to help with the process.

The chateau consists of three wings built around a central courtyard. The west wing dates to the 12th century, the north wing to the Rennaissance, and the east wing to the 19th century. It’s been neglected for decades, but my hosts are transforming it back into something beautiful.

I’ll be working there from the start of September through the end of November, and I’m hoping to return in the spring for more. If you happen to be in the area when I’m there, please stop in and say hello!
